In Sept 2006, we went to a cocktail party as part of the first night of the Pittsburgh opera season celebrations. They were running a silent auction, and we bid on a 2 night stay in a Castle in Ireland. As ours was only the 2nd bid, we didn’t think we stood much chance of being successful.
But amazingly, no one else wanted to go to Ireland! So, ours ended up being the highest bid, and we purchased a holiday in Ireland for a fraction of its true value.
In March 2007, we visited “our castle”, and explored the local villages and landscapes. We loved every minute of our luxurious stay. We can’t wait to return!
