In August 2006 we went to Texas.
We started off in Austin, where Ali and Bob Wilkerson joined us to watch the 1.5 million Mexican freetailed bats emerge from Congress Ave bridge at sunset. What a sight! It took half an hour for all the bats to leave their roost.
After Austin, we visited Ali & Bob’s new home in College Station, then went to Dallas to stay with Cass’ cousins, the Cohens, and ended up in San Antonio where Cass attended a Primatology conference and Mike visited the University of San Antonio.
